Excluded Health and medical conditions

Illnesses or diseases such as strokes, heart attacks, or cancer, as these are not caused by an accident.
Conditions that develop over time rather than from a single accident, such as arthritis or gradual loss of sight or hearing.
Sprains, muscular pain, or general wear and tear (like carpal tunnel syndrome).
Mental health conditions, including PTSD or anxiety, even if they result from an accident.
Specific conditions like fibromyalgia, ME, or chronic pain syndromes.
Injuries caused by a medical professional acting carelessly.

Excluded Behavior and activities

Self-inflicted injuries.
Accidents that happen because you deliberately put yourself in danger (unless you're trying to save a life).
Claims resulting from breaking the law or criminal activity.
Injuries that happen if you are under the influence of drugs or haven't followed instructions for your medication.
Injuries from taking part in professional or semi-professional sports.

Bodily injury and death directly caused by an accident, whether it happened at work or not.
Payment of £40,000 on death.
Payment of up to £20,000 for injuries and disability - dependent on the injury.
Payment for temporary disability preventing the person from working for more than 2 weeks.
Overnight hospital stays and physiotherapy.
Virtual Medical Care service with unlimited 24/7 access to medical advice, consultations, referrals and prescriptions.

Personal accident cover is a supplementary cover and is not a substitute for employers' liability cover which is a UK legal requirement.

The number of people to be covered should not exceed the number of employees in the company.
